Essence Of Ba Be Lake & Cao Bang Geopark

One the second day, take a short morning exercise to enjoy the fresh air before breakfast and get ready for a 3-hour boat trip around the lake.

In between the boating, take a short walk along Cam Village and fill your heart with the freshest nature, smiley locals living at the end of the lake.

Later on, skirt along the Nang River to Puong Cave, a tunnel cave filled with amazement from limestone stalactites and stalagmites to mysterious bats.

Head straight to Buoc Lom Wharf for a departure from Ba Be and head further to Phia Oac National Park, a newly emerging natural attraction in Cao Bang Province.

Arrive at Phia Oac after a 3-hour drive and wander around to discover the beauty of mountains and jungles sleeping in the mystic beauty of sunset.

Enjoy your third morning with a motorbike trip in an "off the beaten track" trail to Phia Den Peak, which is recorded to be 2000 meters above sea level. If the sky is bright and sunny, you are likely to take in your vision an incredible panoramic view.

Move downward for lunch before leaving for Cao Bang City on a 3-hour drive. The rest of the day will be saved for an insight of Cao Bang wet market.

Note: Depending on the weather and your health condition, the motobike trip can be replaced by other interesting activities.

After breakfast, hit the road again to the exhilarating Ban Gioc Waterfall. The site sits at the fourth-ranking of the largest border waterfall worldwide separating Northern Vietnam and Southern mainland China.

Moving on with a short stop en route and take a short walk down the road at Phuoc Sen village, a tribal village of the Nung people. Over here, learn deeply about the making of knives, a type of traditional handicraft. Enjoy your picnic lunch by the waterfall and relax.

Once your lunch finishes, pay a visit to the one and only Nguom Ngao Limestone Cave, named as the legendary Tiger Cave before returning to an incense-making village, home of the Nung ethnic community, where your homestay is based.

If you are hungry for more incredible landscapes, you are recommended to join in a 1-hour hike up the mountain behind the village to admire the whole exotic view and enjoy a sunset break at the peak.

Wake up early to welcome the first sunlight in the morning prior to a fresh photo hunt and saying goodbye to this unforgettable wonderland.

Drive back to Hanoi on a 6-hour trip while crossing 6 twisting mountainous passes along the way.
