This short trip brings you a full discovery of both splendid landscapes and unique culture in these epic regions. The package promises to warm your soul with the peaceful and rusted life of the remote Tay, Hmong and Yao villages or the charming tranquility from Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark to Ba Be National Park. Duration : 4 Days - 3 Nights

Route : Ha Noi - Ha Giang - Dong Van- Ba Be Lake - Ha Noi

Itinerary

Get it started with a 6-hour transfer to Ha Giang. Over here, you will witness a dramatic change in vibe from the hectic Hanoi to the peacefulness of the neighboring rural areas.

Take a later short walk around for some instagrammable photographs in the middle of the field nearby and enjoy an authentic lunch at a local restaurant along the way.

Arrive in Ha Giang at around 4 PM. Wandering around the Tay ethnic villages featuring a massive scene of vivid rice fields, traditional wooden stilt houses tiled with palm leaves or relaxing and cooling off in a stream nearby are what you are offered at the end of the day.

Have a local meal for dinner and call it a day!

After breakfast, your second day will start with a trip up the mountain to Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark.

The first destination is Quan Ba District. Stop at some poetic places to admire the majestic nature and make it an ideal opportunity to feed your Instagram.

Lunch is arranged at a local restaurant in Yen Minh Town. After that, head to Dong Van.

Take a 1.5-hour short walk along the mountain trails sneaking through the local Hmong villages before paying a visit to the King of Hmong Palace in Sa Phin Valley.

In the afternoon, arrive at Dong Van at about 4.30 PM.

If our time budget is generous enough, you will have a chance to walk up to the French Fortress, where you have the whole panorama of the ancient town.

Day three takes you on a 2-hour drive to Dong Van local market or enjoy sipping the aromatic coffee drops in Dong Van Old Quarter.

If you make it on Sunday, get ready to join in a local traditional market fair, where you get to admire the Hmong natives in their traditional colorful costumes.

Ma Pi Leng Pass is the very next destination after a 20-minute drive. The pass is proudly recorded to be one of the four most enormous passes all over Northern Vietnam.

Then next 2.5-hour off-road walk is specially designed for you to reach the peak of the pass, twist through some scattering Hmong tribes, and finally down the valley where you will be overwhelmed by the breath-taking mountainous landscape by the Chinese border and captivating Nho Que river.

Continue to Meo Vac for a local lunch before heading to Ba Be Lake.

Savor one last breakfast in this rural paradise before a 3-hour boat trip around the lake. Take a short walk to Cam village of the Tay people afterward and skirt along the Nang River to reach Puong cave, a tunnel cave with enchanting limestone stalactites, stalagmites, and bats.

End up at Buoc Lom Wharf where you say goodbye to Ba Be and return to Hanoi.
