Leave Hanoi for Ba Be Lake at 8 AM on a 5-hour drive.
Stop in Thai Nguyen first to visit the Museum of Ethnic Minorities in Vietnam and end up at Ba Be National Park early in the afternoon.
Over here, you are introduced to Hua Ma Cave, the most beautiful cave in Northeatern Vietnam, and its enchanting beauty of limestone stalactites and stalagmites.
Then, visit the exhilarating Tat Ma Waterfall in the heart of this hilly domain before resting at your homestay in Pac Ngoi Village. The rest of the day can be saved for kayaking and swimming in fresh coolest water of Ba Be Lake.
Wake up early to enjoy the freshest air and have your served local breakfast before 3-hour boating around the lake.
During the boat trip, have a short walk along Cam Village born by the Nang River.
Follow the river to Puong Cave, where you are amazed at the wide range of limestone stalactites and stalagmites to mysterious bats.
Arrive at Buoc Lom Wharf where you say goodbye to Ba Be and head for Quang Uyen District, Cao Bang Province later on.
After a 3-hour drive, reach a cultural village of the Nung people where incenses are made for a living.
At the end of the day, wander around and discover the village by yourself. If time allows, spend another 30 minutes to 1 hour climbing up the top of the mountain for an overview of the whole surrounding.
Get ready for a busy traveling day started with the epic Ban Gioc Waterfall and get a brief introduction of this world's fourth biggest border waterfall lying in between Vietnam and mainland China.
Moving on to the hidden Phuoc Sen Village. This is home to the Nung tribal natives where you get to learn the painstaking process behind their traditional knife-making technique.
Visit Nguom Ngao - also known as Tiger Cave after a picnic lunch before heading further to Lang Son.
This fourth day is set for an insight into the marvelous Bai Tu Long Bay after a 5-hour drive from Lang Son.
First off, embark at Hon Gai International Harbor for a check-in process, welcome drink and cruise briefing.
Afterward, enjoy your arranged high-end lunch while cruising around the magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay for an up-close admiration of the fascinating formations on the way.
The trip continues with the hidden Thien Canh Son Cave followed by a relaxing time on the white sandy beach at Hon Co Island. You can opt for swimming or kayaking as pleased.
Later in the evening, get back for refreshing before dinner on board and spend the rest of the evening at your own pleasure.
The last day of the voyage first welcomes you with a stunning morning view of the baya's landscape while offering a cup of tea or coffee during breakfast.
After that, pay a visit to Vung Vieng fishing village on a rustic row-boat before checking out time. Lunchtime is when you will cruise towards the harbor.
Disembark after lunch and transfer back to Hanoi on a 4-hour drive.
