Nature Excursion In Mai Chau & Pu Luong Nature Reserve

Start an easy 7-km off the beaten path trek to visit the dreamy surrounding villages filled with lush rice terraces and a hanging bridge across a wild stream.

Get back to the lodge for lunch before moving on to see the sensational Pu Luong Nature Reserve after a 2-hour drive.

Up on arrival, join in your 6-km trek sneaking through the green terrace rice fields and crossing a poetic stream to the rural villages of the Black Thai minorities. Dinner at the lodge including some rice wine made by local family themselves is well arranged. Enjoy this peaceful night in the middle of the reserve.

Day three begins with the dream-like sunrise in the heart of the woods. After breakfast, follow the trail through the emerald terraced rice fields and forests to the Hieu Waterfall. This is where you have lunch after a 14-km trekking trip.

Afternoon then is a pleasant time to relax and go swimming at the chilly waterfall. Other than that, feel free to wander around for a full exploration of the surrounding villages and jungles before checking in the rustic local homestay.

A cozy dinner with our host is available right afterward. Don't forget to take a good sip of rice wine and start a conversation with the locals to understand more about their customs.

On the last day, travel by car to Cham Stream first in the morning. On the way, visit Ba Village and cross the hanging bridge to discover the giant waterwheels and an interesting duck farm to learn about local agriculture system at the site.

Hop on a rustic bamboo raft for a relaxing boating along the Cham Stream.

Travel back to the lodge for lunch and walk around the village to enjoy the very last moments before making a farewell to this dreamy countryside and get transferred back to Hanoi.
