Itinerary
Leave Hanoi for Ba Be National Park at 8 AM on a 5-hour escape drive to witness the alluring change of landscape miles after miles.
Upon arrival at the Northern Wharf of Ba Be Lake, take a short boating voyage to Dau Dang Waterfall where you start a 2.5-hour trek to Na Nghe Village.
Immerse yourself in the rural peace and hospitality of this Yao village in the middle of Ba Be National Park. Enjoy the delighted dinner with homemade corn wine with your host and call it a day.
Morning exercise and an authentic breakfast gets your second day started.
Hit the trekking trails again to go deeper into the national park. Along the way, pass through a wide array of isolated villages where you are mesmerized by the welcoming hands of the innocent Hmong children from local schools nearby.
Sneak through the endless greenish corn and rice field before taking a pleasant rest at the Wind Peak for a picnic lunch. After that, step down the valley and follow a twisting stream to the idyllic Ba Be Lake.
Now, wallow yourself in the cool fresh water on the Widow Island and end your full second day of 6-hour adventure right here.
Nostalgically enjoy the last minutes at Ba Be with a morning visit to Hua Ma Cave, the most amazing limestone cave in Northeastern Vietnam.
Say goodbye to Ba Be National Park and hop on a drive back to the bustle of Hanoi.
